We’re looking for a Macctastic Secretary to help shape a
greener Macclesfield
Macclesfield’s environmental
campaigning group is looking for a keen volunteer to
take on our Secretary role. If you want to see your town
lead the way in tackling climate change, reducing waste
and being a home for nature as well as for people – then
keep reading.
As our Secretary, you won’t
just be typing minutes (though that’s important) –
you’ll be working closely with our Chair and organising
group to help coordinate and organise exciting events,
manage our membership effectively and support the group
to run smoothly and effectively to make the difference
we all want to see.
Whether you are younger,
older, studying, working full time or retired - if
you’ve got a passion for a sustainable Macclesfield and
would like to support us we want to hear from you - we
recognise everyone has different commitments and can be
flexible about how this works.

Role:
There will be plenty of
support if you’re unfamiliar with any of the below
tasks:
Work closely with other
members of the core organising group in developing plans
and activities.
Taking minutes at key meetings.
Monitor and maintain the email inbox, replying and/or forwarding to the team as appropriate.
Upload, maintain and distribute information to and from our online documentation store.
Monitor other
websites/channels for items of interest, and
action/disseminate as appropriate.
