Garden Share GS030

This is a site with a 'GardenShare heritage'! It was used successfully for several years by a couple who have now moved on. Since then, the current owner has maintained it to keep it tidy, and she now wishes to offer it for GardenShare again.

The plot is rectangular in shape, approximately 7 x 5 metres – separated into beds by rough paths. The area is relatively weed free, having been tended and kept covered with fabric. The site is one of several adjacent plots behind miners’ cottages in Poynton. They are all at the rear of a housing terrace and are accessible via a level side passage.

This plot is right next to one of our existing GardenShares – a site that has been operating successfully for several years - in fact the latter is featured in the GardenShare video . (It's used by the lady described as GardenShare Enthusiast - Sarah Bradley- it starts approximately 1 minute 17 seconds into the video).

The owner would prefer that the plot is used by a couple but is receptive to suggestions. A well behaved companion (dog/child) would be acceptable. Limited parking is available on-street near the premises – or Waitrose is fairly close!

A water tap is accessible in the owner’s yard but, depending on choice of crop, a water butt would be a useful addition to the site. There’s a compost bin and a shed for storing tools. The owner has a separate area for growing fruit bushes/rhubarb on the same site and she too uses the shed and tools.

This site would suit someone who wants the certainty of a plot that is known to be productive.
